AIR VICE MARSHAL NADEEM AKHTAR KHAN, HI (M), (RETD) TAKES CHARGE AS PRINCIPAL

Air Vice Marshal Nadeem Akhtar Khan, HI (M), (RETD) assumed charge as 18th Principal PAF College Sargodha on 15 April 2024, in place of Air Vice Marshal Asif Maqsood , HI (M), (RETD)

Air Vice Marshal Nadeem Akhtar Khan, HI(M) was commissioned in PAF as fighter pilot in June, 1990. His military career spans over thirty three years and in recognition of his meritorious services, he has been awarded with Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) by the Govt of Pakistan.He did his M.Sc in Strategic Studies from National Defence Uuniversity and B.Sc(Hons) in War Studies from Air War College.
During his service career, he held various Command and Staff appointments. His operational assignments include command of a Fighter Squadron and a Fighter Air Base of Pakistan Air Force. He has the distinction of commanding and prestigious Combat Commanders’ School. He also has the honour of serving as Flight Instructor at UAE Air Force Academy and instructor at Air War College. He has also served as PSO to CAS at Air Headquarters. Prior to current assignment, he was posted as Deputy Chairman PAC Board and before that he served as the maiden Air Officer Commanding at PAF Airmen Academy, Korangi Creek for two years, where he streamlined the policies at the newly established facility.
The Officer is a distinguished graduate of Flight Instructors’ School, Combat Commanders’ School, PAF Air War College and Royal College of Defence Studies, UK.
